The works shown here are images derived from personal photographs, which have been digitally manipulated then transferred onto canvas and plywood to form the basis of the paintings. The materials used in the paintings are a mixture of acrylics, pastels, plaster and collage. All the images depict walls and doorways of one kind or another and this theme is enhanced, when taken to the painted stage, by crating a map of the image using textures and colours which also emphasise the feeling of real surfaces
